In the heart of defence, Raphael Varane scored the opening goal, won all of his ground duels, had 4 interceptions, 3 clearances, and 2 completed tackles. His comfort at dribbling out of the back is such an asset . On the other hand, the captain Sergio Ramos was another consistent performer. In the midfield, Toni Kroos, Valverde and James started for Los Blancos. Watching the last match, Bayern Munich will always regret on selling Toni Kroos to Real Madrid. From the bench, Nacho played final third which allowed Sergio Ramos some rest. However, Brahim Diaz from the bench was very energetic and ambitious. He wanted to do something extra.
